The Hot Chick (2002)

Let’s go back in time to 2002.  Rob Schneider plays The Hot Chick.  High school slapstick and implied dick shots run rampant in this half-baked narrative of a switcheroo during which a sexy teenaged girl, Rachel McAdams, and a dirty thief and scam artist, Rob Schneider, maintain their personal identities but switch bodies.  Admittedly awful in any number of ways, this movie is also full of laughs.  Highly politcally incorrect and disgustingly hyperbolic, if you’re willing to go brain dead for about an hour and a half, this would be a good movie to do it to.  Rob Schneider performs at his best as he attempts to portray a confused young girl pretending to be both a Hispanic gardener and a straight man while also coping with boy troubles.  Anna Faris (also in such film memorables as Scary Movie and Brokeback Mountain) is another highlight of the movie; playing the best friend of the hot chick, her performance especially shines in the in-between moments when she doesn’t say anything at all and her facial expression speak volumes.  By no means is this a fantastic movie, but it is certianly highly entertaining.

My rating: a high 4/10.
