Sherlock Holmes

1 01 2010

Had the movie not taken place in such a dreary, Sweeney Todd like setting the audience might have had as much fun as Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law had with their roles.  It’s still an entertaining ride, even if director Guy Ritchie doesn’t seem to know what he’s going for and still has an unhealthy addiction to slow-motion.  Despite my mixed feelings I am actually excited for the inevitable sequel, depending on who plays the villain Moriarty (will it be Brad Pitt as rumored?) and who directs (I’m crossing my fingers they replace Ritchie).

RATING:  6/10
